Minimalist Text Turns Your Android into a Work of Art
Minimalistic Text is an Android app that allows you to create widgets that displays time, date, calendar information, weather, and battery and system information in text format. There are several preset widgets and the layout of the widget can customizable through the layout editor. It is really hard for me to explain. I just download it and gave it a try and figured it out easy enough. A bit daunting at first glance.

Galaxy Note II doesnt have a 13MP camera because of Sony

Even before the new Galaxy Note II was officially unveiled, we’ve heard a number of rumors that such a device is in development. At that time, the Interwebs were talking about improved camera, saying that the new model will rock a 13-megapixel sensor. Now we’re hearing that those rumors were partly true as Samsung did want to include it in the Note II. The problem, however, is that the Japanese company could supply its Korean partner with enough units so Sammy opted for the “old” 8-megapixel sensor, instead.
It is fair to presume that at the time Samsung started making new Notes, Sony had problems with volume production. Today we know they’ll be supplying LG with 13-megapixel sensors which will be used in the soon-to-be-launched Optimus G. Guess the Note III and perhaps the Galaxy S IV will rock a better camera… Not that we actually need one…

Samsung plans to ship more than half a billion phones next year

Samsung has some seriously ambitious plans for next year as it’s gearing toward shipping 510 million phones in 2013, up from expected 420 million this year. That’s like a 20% growth year-over-year!
But wait, there’s more – the vast majority (390 million) of these devices will be smartphones, making the Korean company the world’s largest smartphone maker ever.
The information, in case you wonder, comes from “an executive at one of Samsung’s key suppliers”, according to The Korea Times. And while he/she may be super-bullish on the company’s prospects, Gartner thinks Sammy will move around 250-300 million smartphones next year.
When it comes to where all those phones will be made, some 240 million will be manufactured in Vietnam, 170 million in China, 40 million in South Korea, and 20 million in India. And those Vietnamese facilities are expected to grow bigger with Samsung planning to invest around $2.2 billion by 2020 to boost their output even more…

Are you a JRPG fan on an Android

If you are, you should check out KEMCOs selection of titles on Google Play, as for the next three days or so, everything is on sale for US$1. While the graphics are a bit dated, I think Symphony of Eternity is a must have for the true JRPG aficionado. Symphony of the Origin with its more modern graphics and faster gameplay will appeal to the hardcore RPG fan and casual gamer. I decided to pick-up Silver Nornir, my fourth KEMCO title.

Square Enixs Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III are also available at half the regular price, I am not sure if this is a sale or a permanent price drop. In any event, I picked up Final Fantasy III.
After having given up gaming a decade ago, I have picked up seven JRPGs in the past year. It has become a nice stress reliving 30-minute a day habit.
Tablets substituting laptops A matter of time
Laptops are doomed. In the next five years, tablets will displace notebook-style computers to become the dominant personal computing platform. And the transition from laptop to tablet has already begun.
That’s the key finding of a new Forrester Research report that predicts the end of the laptop’s 15-year reign. The trend is already well under way among people born between 1980 and 2000, known to demographers as the millennial generation. In the U.S., 30% of tablet owners in this age group have purchased a tablet in place of a PC, compared to 20% of baby boomers.
"For this growing body of [millennial] users, PCs will seem like clunky trucks rather than sleek cars, dampening their long-term propensity to buy conventional PCs," says the 19-page report authored by Forrester analyst Frank Gillett.
But the tablet won’t replace the laptop all by itself, Forrester says. File-sharing services such as Box, DropBox, SugarSync and Apple’s iCloud will be critical enabling technologies, as well as a new type of stationary display the analyst calls a frame, due to become commonplace by 2015.
Sales projections back up Forrester’s forecast. Tablets are expected to outsell laptops in 2016 as tablet shipments quintuple from 81.6 million in 2011 to 424.9 million by 2017, according to research firm DisplaySearch.
Tablet sales will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 46% during the same period, Forrester predicts, reaching 375 million in 2016. A third of those sales will be directly to businesses, as tablets become standard tools for executives, sales staff and other information workers.
China and other emerging markets will drive the fastest tablet growth because they aren’t already saturated with laptops and smartphones, according to Forrester. Emerging markets will account for 40% of tablets sold by 2016.
For users, the rise of the tablet will bring one outstanding benefit: Convenience. At 1.75 pounds or lighter, tablets are half the weight of the sleekest laptops. They turn on instantly, are easier to use and have a long battery life. In time, they’ll acquire more processing muscle and move beyond today’s most common uses: reading email and documents, browsing the Web and watching video. Eventually they’ll come to rival laptops as workhorses. Apple is already pushing in that direction by making iWork available on the iPad. Microsoft is expected to make the Office suite available for tablets next year.
One stumbling block in the tablet’s path to dominance is screen size. At 7 to 14 inches diagonal, tablet screens are too small to handle the gamut of computing chores comfortably. Thats where frames come in, according to Forrester.
Frames will be large, stationary displays that a person can use to wirelessly show video, documents and any other tablet-based content. They’ll be laden with sensors, so people can interact with them through touch, voice and gestures (via motion sensors similar to those in Microsofts Kinect).
Forrester envisions frames as fixtures in homes, offices, hotel rooms, coffee shops and conferences. Forrester analysts expect them to reach the mass market in 2015, when they will spark an acceleration in the displacement of laptops.
The presumed ubiquity of frames might be the report’s most iffy prediction. But the technology’s forebears are already on the market, Forrester points out, including the Apple Thunderbolt,Samsung Central Station and Sony Power Media Dock. Apple AirPlay wireless technology enables the iPad and iPhone to send video and audio to TVs or external speakers via Apple TV, and Intel Wireless Display technology moves content from PC to TV.
More than the iPad
Note that tablet dominance doesn’t mean iPad dominance. Apples market share will shrink from its current 68%, dropping below 50% by 2017, according to the NPD Group. Nevertheless, Forrester predicts that Apple will continue to lead in the enterprise and among premium buyers worldwide. Tablets based on Googles Android platform will capture the low end. Microsoft Windows 8 tablets (Surface), expected to reach stores by the end of the year, will become a strong competitor in 2014.
While laptops will no longer be the center of the personal computing universe, they wont disappear for a long time. The transition to tablets will take years, and meanwhile laptops will be used for graphic- and processing-intensive tasks such as graphic design, engineering and complex calculation. But as tablets become better-suited to a wide range of tasks, and the support technologies become more widespread, most people will find them simpler and more convenient. Then, Forrester says, even die-hard laptop lovers will ditch their notebooks and jump on the tablet juggernaut.

Nokia Explains Why You Need Wireless Charging In A Lumia 920 Ad
Lenovo A800 A good value for money 4 5 inch Android phone
Yesterday I took a look at the newly released Lenovo S720, which feels a tab bit expensive, but Lenovo has released another 4.5-inch Android, the Lenovo A800, and this one hits all the right cords. The Lenovo A800 is priced at Php6,999, or 3K less than Lenovo S720.

For the lower price, the A800 gets a downgraded display, a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854) display instead of the qHD (540 x 960) display on the S720. The camera on the A800 is a 5 MP unit, instead of the 8 MP unit in the S720. You also loose the front camera. The A800 is also a bit thicker and heavier than the S720.
The rest of the specifications are the same, with Android 4.0.4 on board, dual SIM capability, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a MicroSD card slot and a 2000 mAh battery. As a "bonus" the A800 has a faster 1.2 GHz dual core processor than the 1.0 GHz processor on the A720. Both phones use MediaTek chipsets.
At the lower price point, it is Php500 cheaper than the MyPhone A888. The MyPhone has a higher resolution qHD display, but the a A800 has a larger battery (2000 mAh versus 1700 mAh). It is a though choice between these two.
The A800 costs Php700 more than a Cherry Mobile Flame, but the A800 has a a larger battery and a more powerful processor and graphics.
Competition also comes from the Cherry Mobile Blaze and SkyFire, but the 1500 mAh battery in those phones, combined with large 4.7-inch displays means poor battery life. The A800 would be well worth the additional Php500 to Php1,000 as compared to these two.
It not a clear win, but with a 7K budget, the Cherry Mobile Flame, MyPhone A888 and the Lenovo A800 are the best three choices.
Samsung will leave Android Samsung will Launch a Smartphone with Tizen

Will Samsung leave the platform of popular operating system Android? Techno Researchers said that, this South Korean organization is working to reduce android dependency. Now Samsung plans to release a smartphone powered by the open-source platform Tizen as soon as August.
“The Tizen phone will be out in August or September, and this will be in the high-end category,” Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business, said during an interview in Seoul. “The device will be the best product equipped with the best specifications.”

There currently are no Tizen devices sold globally. The first users will have “thousands” of applications to choose from, Chase Perrin, an official with the San Ramon, California- basedTizen Association, said in an e-mail.
Samsung, the world’s biggest maker of mobile phones, is under pressure to develop its own software after Google, owner of the world’s most popular search engine, acquired handset maker Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. for more than $12 billion in May, boosting its patent portfolio.
Smartphone Shipments
Samsung fell 2.4 percent to 1,484,000 won at 10:48 a.m. in Seoul trading. The stock has gained 19 percent in the past 12 months compared with a 2.4 percent decline in the benchmark Kospi index.
Samsung sells about a quarter of all mobile phones globally, according to research firm Strategy Analytics. It shipped 213 million smartphones last year, compared with 135.8 million for Apple and 35 million for Nokia Oyj. (NOK1V)
Android’s share of the global smartphone market rose to 68.4 percent in 2012 from 48.7 percent a year earlier, according to a January report by Strategy Analytics. Android and Apple’s iOS software combined for 87.8 percent of all smartphones shipped last year.
Huawei Technologies Co., China’s largest maker of telecommunications equipment, is among manufacturers developing the Tizen operating system.
“We see open source and web-based platforms, like the one provided by Tizen, as a good collaboration opportunity,” said Scott Sykes, a spokesman for the Shenzhen-based company. “Any discussion on specific products is premature.”
The Tizen Association’s members also include Panasonic Corp. (6752), NTT DoCoMo Inc. andVodafone Group Plc. (VOD)
DoCoMo, Japan’s biggest mobile phone company, expects to release a Tizen handset in the second half of the year.
“Android’s challenge for 2013 will be to defend its leadership, not only against Apple, but also against an emerging wave of hungry challengers that includes Microsoft, BlackBerry, Firefox and Tizen,” Strategy Analytics said in its Jan. 28 report.

Download N O V A 3 APK For Android HTC One X and other Tegra 3 devices Games
Another big blow after the release of N.O.V.A 3 by perennial FPS. After the remarkable previous NOVA series title, developer decided to launch for all popular devices like IOS Devices. But for now I will discuss on how you can download this on HTC X and other Tegra 3 devices without any trouble.
You will be see Warden again In this series, Now get ready for exciting journey on various planets like derelict ship or warn desert. You get another chance to save the humanity or our planet. Just defined approach required to complete that big mission.
N.O.V.A. 3 on HTC One X and other Tegra 3 devices
It’s only (6.99$). There is no free APK version for this game on Internet. You have to download N.O.V.A 3 on your Android or IOS devices for battling enemy archetypes. One interesting factor introduced in this version is, you can earn advance weapons by completing particular level or different task in existing level.
N.O.V.A. 3’s control schemes
Thanks to developer that works hard on FSP limitation, I’ve seen in many trouble regarding the control system on touch screen in FSP games. But this one is beyond your imagination. Same tactics used in this game like Fruit Ninja application And the Big one (Tekken 5 Graphics). You would be really pleased after playing this one on Apple, samsung big screen devices like IPAD or Galaxy note 2.I don’t know but according to N.OV.A 3 illustration or animation I stunt playing it on Ios devices rather than android or Tegra 3.
N.O.V.A 3 is managed in all console titles in Big budget. I found this one is the best Nest generation FPS game. Mostly people predict this oe close to Halo series due to character designed and battle placed on open world.
Every little animations percept realistic metal reflections throughout the final mission. Now get ready for more thrilling action on San Francisco Street soon in your Pocket.I’m sure after downloading N.O.V.A. 3 on HTC One X and other Tegra 3 devices or other IOS devices you visit again my page for appreciation.
