Contrary to what most rumors have been saying about Verizon’s handset it does NOT have an aluminum/metal casing (which I know some of you were hoping for); however it does make up for it with the a Xenon flash. The first Lumia in fact to carry such a flash, which should come to a relief to many of you out there; especially since some have gone as far as stating that a Pureview without Xenon flash, is not worthy of the Pureview title at all.

New Nokia N9 Mini Reviews and Features
You may have heard the mentions of a Mini N9 every now and again, perhaps either when the news of Meltemi arose or later perhaps as you saw the new Asha’s with a very MeeGo-Harmattan esque swipe.
We’re told below that the new Asha’s are evolving towards becoming more N9-like. That’s no surprise really since we’ve been told plenty of times by Nokia that they’re taking a lot from the N9 and putting them towards future products. Now remember back during MWC when the design language for the new Asha series was leaked?
The source claims to have seen that product.
I have seen new Nokia Asha phone which was leaked a few weeks ago around MWC event.
The phone design looks beautiful and you can say it’s new Nokia N9 Mini version.
New features are as following:
Phone has 3 different screen.
1) Menu Screen
2) Notification Screen.
3) Application screen.
You can switch to different screen with swipe gesture. And it’s not like previous Asha phones, it’s real swipe like we have seen in N9
1) Single hardware button at front.
2) User Interface is inspired from N9 in all apps. (like clock, calendar, settings etc.)
3) Screen resolution is 240×320
4) Various controls for Touch Screen Brightness, Double Tap to Unlock.
5) In notification screen you can see notifications from various apps from like facebook, twitter etc.
6) Dual SIM, 3G, Wifi etc.
Phone runs so smoothly and fast and also play animations and transitions like we have seen in Lumia Range.
The sad thing is that the phone still do not run multiple apps

Multimedia:
The music player got touch controls, but otherwise keeps a very similar interface to its previous version. It is pretty purposeful as it is, with cover art, equalizers and song categorization support. One of the few advantages when you have a thick phone is that you can fit a more potent loudspeaker in it, and the one in the Asha 303 is certainly very strong and clear, and could serve as an improvised boombox.
The handset has a decent video player, too, this time improved with DivX/Xvid format support out of the box. It plays those vids up to 640x360 resolution, but if your file is above 700MB, the handset would refuse to take it for a spin.
Performance:
Call quality is rather clear in the earpiece, although we wish there was a tad more strength. The other side said they could hear us well, with no unpleasant crackling or distortions. The phone supports call recording, and, as we mentioned, has a very strong loudspeaker, so you are unlikely to miss a call with it.
Nokia specifies the 1300mAh battery in the Asha 303 for 7 hours of talk time in 3G mode, over a month of standby, and two days of continuous music playback.
